Libby SvenpladsenParalegal

“I am a professional and personable team player. I believe in maintaining relationships and working well with others – clients, co-workers, opposing counsel – is a critical part of my role.”

In my nearly 10 years as a paralegal, I have developed extensive experience in family law matters, primarily in the areas of divorce and custody.

My role as a family law paralegal includes:

  • managing each case from intake through resolution
  • communicating with clients and serving as point of contact for their proceedings
  • handling correspondence, divorce decrees, pleadings and other legal documents filed with the courts
  • overseeing formal and informal discovery, including responding to discovery requests and reviewing discovery from other parties
  • analyzing financial documents, income and asset statements, etc.
  • assisting with preparation for mediations, hearings and trials

I have a strong work ethic with a commitment to delivering high quality work. I recognize my work is a direct reflection not only on me, but also on the firm and our clients. That’s why I am willing to go above and beyond to achieve the desired results on their behalf.

In family law, we deal with clients at an extremely difficult time in their lives. That calls on us to be approachable, knowledgeable, and willing to discuss sensitive matters. I consider myself an advocate for clients, dedicated to listening to their concerns and making sure their needs are addressed.
