The Summer Law Clerk Program at Henson Efron is a 12-week immersive experience designed to introduce law students to the practice of law at our firm. Clerks engage in meaningful work, conducting in-depth research and completing assignments that reflect the work of a full-time associate. They also observe trials, depositions, hearings, negotiations, and closings when possible. Working closely with attorneys and staff across multiple disciplines, clerks gain practical insights and build professional connections within the firm and the broader legal community. By the end of the program, they leave with real-world experience, a deeper understanding of law firm operations, and greater confidence in their legal careers.
Henson Efron recruits for this program through summer On-Campus Interview (OCI) programs at the University of Minnesota Law School, Mitchell Hamline School of Law, and St. Thomas University School of Law. Students from other schools may apply by submitting a resume, cover letter, and transcripts to Sarah Ptacek, Human Resources Manager, during May and June for opportunities in the following year.
